one ten archaeology was established in 2003 by Sean Cook BA MCIfA who started his career in archaeology in 1985 on the northern city defences of the Kingsholm fortress at Gloucester.

Since then he has acquired considerable experience in the commercial sector and with the aid of a small team has built a dedicated business responding to the demand for fieldwork and desk-top archaeological services in the midlands, south-west and south-east regions.

In his role Sean is responsible for coordinating and directing the implementation of archaeological recording and excavation within a variety of different construction projects, the work has been principally presented through the completion of reports detailing the results to in order to meet the mitigation requirements attached to planning applications.

In 2007 the company was expanded with the addition of Jill Atherton to the team, her experience in building recording and illustration across the country aimed to meet the increasing demand for work in this area of the historic environment. Our increasing portfolio is a testament of our commitment and the satisfaction of our clients.

Moving forward in 2017 the team continues to develop through dedication and innovation aiming to lead market trends, promoting preservation of the archaeological resource through best archaeology whilst providing a comprehensive service to clients.
